Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., will headline a convention of women Democrats this summer in Northwest Arkansas, the Democratic Party of Arkansas announced Monday.
The former first lady will be the featured speaker at the 71st State Convention of the Arkansas Federation of Democratic Women. The meeting will be July 15 at 12:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Rogers, said the party’s communications director, Bart Haynie.
The federation is the oldest auxiliary group in the state party’s history, Haynie said in a news release. Founded in 1933, the federation has more than 30 chapters in Arkansas. (Arkansas Democrat Gazette)
